Nassour Ali Kendy is an air traffic controller working at the Hassan Djamouss International Airport in Chad. Nassour studied aviation at the East African School of Aviation in Nairobi. He is the founder of Chad Volunteers, a non-profit organization supporting his community in areas such as youth civic engagement, gender equality, community services, and blood donation to save lives in the hospitals in Chad. Nassour also conducts free English classes for young entrepreneurs at WenakLabs incubator. On completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders, Nassour plans to use the knowledge and networks acquired to enhance the work of Chad Volunteers.

What do you do in your home country and what do you hope to do upon completion of your Fellowship? In particular, with the integration of your experiences at Drexel University?

My name is Nassour Ali kendy from Chad. I am an air traffic controller working at Ndjamena airport and the coordinator of the youth platform for volunteers called Chad volunteers organization which helps to promote the volunteering within the Chadian youth. I would to like to share my experience and learn from the fellows and the university lectures. I am curious enough to learn from Drexel university.

What is your favorite thing about your home country? What are you most excited about learning about Philadelphia?

My favorite thing in my country is the desert with its beautiful oasis. The city of Philadelphia is an incredible city with its diversity.

Do you have any hobbies or interesting fact you wish to share about yourself?

I love travelling to discover new places.
